Rugs and Ecommerce

Many rugs retailers now have joined the world of ecommerce and generate high volume rugs sales dependent on their generic Google rankings and of course any paid online marketing options etc. The key question is which layout suits ecommerce rugs stores best and which ecommerce environment will produce best ecommerce conversion rates for your rugs business. Well one important rule of thumb is that research is key, always refer to ecommerce eye tracking stats etc, to see how ecommerce rugs shoppers view different ecommerce layouts. This will ensure your rugs platform generates the rugs sales you expect and doesn't wilt in the background. Large scale ecommerce applications obviously have larger budgets to cater for research but with some key insights its very easy to see how ecommerce shoppers are navigating through different online environments and see which suits your rugs customers best.

Ecommerce and back pain

Thankfully with ecommerce I can continue working even with back pain. Went to lift over 1kg last night wish is a push at the best of times and felt my back go :) so much so the strong man competition this year. I will stick to ecommerce development and SEO for fun. Tried using a ball to sit on when typing and it seems to ease the pain, so for all ecommerce web designers out there, get yourselves a ball to sit on as it helps ecommerce posture and prevents injuries like mine :(

Promotional Mugs

Promotional Mugs Offer Marketing Variety

Promotional mugs from Brilliant Promotions are a superb and ever-popular way for a business or organisation to get their message across on a permanent basis. Incorporating a large branding area and the ability to deliver a range of marketing messages, promotional branded mugs have for many years been a mainstay of corporate branded marketing campaigns both internally and externally for many companies. In other words, promotional mugs are equally adept at displaying the corporate policy both for your own staff as well as spreading the message to your customer base.

Promotional mugs come in a range of shapes and sizes and have design names as diverse as Lincoln to Marrow or choose from a Latte promotional branded mug or a sturdy Quadra. In the main though, you have a couple of main product choices to make – earthenware or bone china (there are also plastic and recycled promotional mugs as well as superb choices of promotional travel mugs). These are the main choices a customer needs to bear in mind before placing an order with a respected promotional merchandise company and much of the reason for the choice will depend on company budgets, corporate message to be delivered or the intended target market for the appropriate promotional mug choice. For instance, a construction or home-building firm will generally tend towards a sturdy earthenware mug whereas a city design agency will likely favour the more subtle approach offered by the range of quality bone china promotional mugs on offer.

Branding of the corporate message is for many as simple as emailing the company logo and web address across with your order confirmation or purchase order but there are a range of options which customers may wish to consider adding an extra “spice” to their corporate marketing of promotional mugs. Why not pantone match the entire promotional mug to match in with your company colours or add the tagline of your organisation inside the mug with the company logo on the outside? Top of mug, bottom of mug, a complete company logo wrap or inside the lip of the promotional mug choice, there are a range of printing options using both screen print and dye sublimation techniques available to be used. Make the most of your promotional branded mug campaign and be sure to stand out from the crowd with your corporate marketing campaign.

At Brilliant Promotions we pride ourselves in being able to help deliver the best possible corporate marketing plans in relation to promotional branded products and with promotional mugs, the choice is vast. Get in touch with a member of the team and discuss how a promotional mug campaign may just be your very own cup of tea to help drive the next wave of sales as part of your new marketing campaign.

Ecommerce Design

There are many different types of ecommerce architecture on the web today, all designed to suit their specific target audience. After all what good is a beautiful ecommerce website if it isn't selling.
You will find the large brands can at times use complicated navigation and flash based applications which would have devistating results for a smaller ecommerce start up as they are much more difficult to optimise and can often be confusing for shoppers. This is fine for a large brand as their followers will take the time to navigate through the ecommerce categories, but for a small ecommerce operation without brand recognition you have only seconds to capture your ecommerce shoppers. Therefore designing your ecommerce website can be more time consuming than people expect to ensure the appropriate research is carried out with small groups of your target audience. With research you will quickly see which ecommerce layout and strucute suits your market best. Remember keep easy to navigate and as visual as possible.

Ecommerce SEO

Ecommerce without search engine optimisation is pointless, as your ecommerce website is only as good as its rankings. A beautiful site without rankings is worthless, as sales will be limited. To generate high ROI it is vital to ensure ecommerce customers can find your products. There are many forms of SEO and the easiest is on-site optimisation as this can be carried out by non-seo professionals when instructed properly by their ecommerce provider. This will involve optimising all pages, categories and products on your website and ensuring the appropriate text content is on all pages. Text content can be more difficult as keyterms must be roughly 10% of the text content. If the key terms are mentioned too many times it will be seen as spam, if its not mentioned enough then Google won't relate the page to the key term, so its a fine line, but very achievable with a little coaching.

Onsite optimisation is much more difficult and requires alot of research and time to achieve the required result.

Why Try Ecommerce?

Ecommerce is definitely the easiest way for retailers to reach the masses. Not only is it one of the cheapest forms of advertising but it also prevents retailers from having to set up new shops in different counties or countries - one store will do it all. With this global audience in mind its very important to put time and suitable resources into such a project, as an initial investment can really reap the rewards after site launch and search engine optimisation.

Ecommerce PCI

Ecommerce is rapidly changing year on year, so its important to keep up with the latest legislation on security requirements and processing methods. PCI regulations should now be a key factor for all ecommerce web designers in 2011. The problem is, which level is appropriate for your business or your customers. At least now there are more documents available on what PCI actually is and how it should be taken into consideration prior to designing any ecommerce application. Thankfully there are many options available to smaller start up ecommerce businesses that can pass this compliance issue onto a third party and ensure ecommerce is still available to the masses within budget. If on the other hand you have a considerable ecommerce business then self compliance may be the most effective solution and will ensure your site flows and contains and stores all credit card details on your own servers etc. Unfortunately for most ecommerce entrepreneurs this is too costly, so introducing SAGE PAY / RELAX etc or an equivalent to process and store credit card information will be sufficient. If introduced to the site professionally then ecommerce applications can navigate consistently and most users wont even notice any difference.
